ABOUT US
St. Sebastian’s church Indiranagar- Halasuru is a Syro-Malabar Church under the Diocese of Mandya. The quasi parish is formed in the year 2021 with the blessings of Mar. Sebastian Adayanthrath, Bishop of Mandya Diocese.
The community consists of around 120 families from Indiranagar and Halasuru areas. This church community is formed with intent to nurture faith and spiritual growth and provide support to the needy with various charitable activities.
The parishioners are in the mission of constructing a church to fulfill their intent and thus build a strong spiritual community.

In the hearts of the Syro-Malabar Catholic diaspora, a fiery dream blazes forth—“Our Dream Our Church,” a sanctuary truly our own. Within its sacred walls, the vibrant echoes of the Syro-Malabar liturgy resound, where our faith blooms, and the sacraments of our cherished rite infuse our lives with sanctity. But beyond this, it’s a unifying haven, a community united in bolstering the universal Church while cherishing our distinct identity.
For nearly five decades, the Indiranagar - Halasuru - Syro-Malabar community has nurtured this dream, their spirit unwavering and hope an unwavering flame. Today, they embark on an extraordinary journey, weaving innovation and creativity to manifest their dream.

Their fundraising encompasses a variety of engaging activities, including the sale of raffle tickets, the sponsorship of a Sqft. of church land, the sale of homemade treats and confectionery items at different churches, and a host of other imaginative programs.
With staunch trust in divine providence and the grace of Our Blessed Mother, they forge ahead, drawing strength from their faith and fellow believers. Challenges become steppingstones, reminding them of their untiring determination. While the path ahead may be arduous, their hearts remain resolute.
As they continue on this epic journey of faith, they cast an inspiring light for others to follow, spreading the gospel of unity and the glory of their unique tradition.
May God bestow His blessings and guide the Syro-Malabar Catholic community of Indiranagar - Halasuru, as they venture on this transformative pilgrimage.
