Greetings to you from Mandya diocese. I appreciate the zeal and enthusiasm of the parishioners of St. Sebastian’s church of Indiranagar & Ulsoor to have a parish church of their own to celebrate the Holy Qurbana and other sacraments in their own liturgical traditions and to impart their faith to the future generations effectively.
It is also quite praiseworthy that you are willing to make great sacrifices to realize this dream of the community and that of the diocese of Mandya. You shared with me for past number of years and encouraged me to find a person who will make that dream come true.
I do realize that it is a genuine need and it cannot be delayed. Keeping this need in mind each one of you approaches donors who can contribute to this cause. I am sure that there are a number of people who will help you out if they do know
The key factor is to mobilize enough fund to buy a piece of property. Since Father Shijo had taken great leadership in building the church at Ramamurthy Nagar, you should initiate the process of fund raising by donations, loans without interest, selling cakes, conducting breakfast Sundays and finding sponsors for donating for square feet. I also encourage you to visit other parishes and request them to join in your effort to buy a piece of property and put up a building for worship.
that you will go ahead with this project. Please be assured that you have my full support and please keep me posted. In case I come across some sources to help you, I will encourage them to meet with you. My prayers, support and encouragement to all of you. Let us have a place of worship soon.
